Did you have a good flight to California ? We have heard that the weather is not too good actually overthere !  Do you see how you are here on our bridge with Alex ? It is nearly the same today ! Dear Pierre and Regine ~~  Got your E mail today and decided to answer back on our kids' computer.  Trip across the ocean was great as there was a lot of space and I had three seats so could go to sleep.  Dallas was horrible as it was so cold and they didn't have enough machines to remove the ice from the planes, so we had to wait around for about seven hours before we could take a plane to Sacramento.  Twenty-eight hours travel time.  Weather here is colder than in France. Heard that there was a horrible storm there with very strong winds.  Was there any damage in Asnieres?  Our daughter said that if you want to send messages here, she will continue to check and print them out for us.

Thank you for your message Chloe & Joe ! What a trip you had !  28 hours travel time ! A good thing is you had enought room to sleep !  I had once a problem of ice on plane like that in winter time it was not in Texas but in Quebec when travelling for my job. Something is really changing on our old planet ! Yes we had a storm in France but evrything is ok in Asnières. We had wind but not so strong here.

Hi to our French friends,  All is well in California, although we have allergies.  Temperature 16 degrees today.  Much warmer than when we arrived.  We need rain and snow in the mountains. Glad to hear that the storm didn't cause much damage in our area.  We heard horror stories of what happened in Europe, so were a little afraid for France.  We are getting things done here so we can get back without a lot of errands that must be done at the last minute. Might get down to see my brother in Laguna Beach before we head back. Say hi to Rosemary and Archie.  I tried to call them the other day, but they weren't at their home.  Will write again next week.

Dear Pierre and Regine,
    Wanted to get the pictures to send to you, and needed my son to do all of the difficult part, like putting it on the computer and sending it.  The adorable little boy is our son's son.  Weather here is great.  Nice and warm.  Hope that you are all well.  We have enjoyed hearing from you.  Will get photos of Domi and Alex soon.  Say Hi to everyone.

Hi, thanks for writing. Thank you for sending me the information on Rousseau, and it was nice seeing the pictures of all of you after so long. I think I am going to do a painting for a French restaurant, and they want me to do a French themed painting like the Eiffel Tower or Mont San Michel. It will probably be easier than my jungle mural because it is inside. Well I hope you are doing well, and maybe I will see you soon. Please send more pictures.

     Thank you for the response.  You are the second people who have said that Domi's painting looks like Rousseau.  I'm glad that you sent some information and some of his pictures.  The weather has turned wet and cold, so will be glad to get back to France.  I hope that we aren't bothering you by sending too many things.  The kids would love for you to send more photos of Asnieres.  See you in about three weeks.  Chloe and Joe

I like very much your mural Jungle and it reminds me a painter who is born in Laval, a long time ago and not very far from Asnières-sur-Vègre. He is Henri Rousseau called "Le Douanier Rousseau". He did a lot of painting about jungle and I am sure you'll like this one. It is called "Surprised".
